I am a lover of truth and beauty and a resolute seeker of joy. I am a counselor, writer, spitfire, and musing mystic. In my writing I seek to display the intersection of joy and sorrow, especially in the suffering of life. For me, that largely comes through the avenue of autoimmune disease; you will find I often connect spirituality and psychology to living with Ankylosing Spondylitis. I love the local church, building community, way-too-deep and way-too-long conversations, and helping others see the world in a fresh, illumined light. As a therapist, I love offering the safe space of my presence, giving you room to coexist with the pain and meaning in your life.
This is a space for honesty with remembrance of the truth that:
“We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope...[that] if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.
— Hebrews 6:19a & Romans 6:5, ESV
Christ is the anchor of my life. United to him, the entirety of my life has purpose--including the difficult parts like disease. I hope you are intrigued by this Anchor through my story, because you can experience life in his love as well.
